International leading experts in the field of Experimental Pragmatics provide 20 two-week courses and three evening lectures.

LOCATED

The summer school will be located at Humboldt-University in the city center of Berlin, only minutes away from major sightseeing attractions.

EARN

Up to 9 ECTS credit points

Each participant may choose up to three courses and you can earn three ECTS credits for each course.
The summer school is suitable for advanced students at the B.A., M.A., or Ph.D. level.

In Experimental Pragmatics researchers from linguistics, psychology, neuroscience, philosophy and related fields seek to advance pragmatic theory by simultaneously formulating formally explicit models of the cognitive mechanisms underlying pragmatics and testing these models using experimental methods.

“XPrag.de: New Pragmatic Theories based on Experimental Evidence“ (SPP 1727) is a priority program funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). During two consecutive phases of three years each, researchers at various universities and research institutions in Germany are collaborating in individual scientific projects in the field of Experimental Pragmatics.
The DGfS summer school is a triannual event. XPrag.de was selected to host the 2018 edition.
